I’ve been whining about the Miss America pageant for quite some time. Can’t we find more constructive ways to award scholarships to women? Being the sneaky prankster that I am, I wonder if a young woman who is actually smart, who really cares about something could use the Miss America system to do some actual good.

Reality shows can be interesting, if they have a story-line and real (not perfect) characters who are forced to change because they have to interact with strangers or because their tempers/comfort zones are challenged. Then, why oh why wouldn’t I enjoy Jersey Shore, MTV’s latest reality show franchise?
